The authors discuss the problem of decreasing the number of errors in clinical laboratory diagnosis using artificial neural networks in which subjective and halfempirical euristics are replaced with objective regulations based on quantitative and logic analysis. The proposed mathod was used to derive the decisive rules ensuring prediction of outcomes of clinical surgery. Reliability of prognostic table reflecting the new decisive rules in common form is confirmed by clinical data.
