State Science Institution - Russian Ilizarov Scientific Center

Restorative Traumatology and Orthopaedics

Kurgan, Russia

Complex neurophysiological examination (global and stimulation electromyography) was performed in dynamics for 55 patients (41 males and 14 females) at the age of 18-56 years with closed compression fractures of the thoracic, thoracolumbar and lumbar spine, who were surgically treated at RISC "RTO". The correlation was revealed between the EMG-criteria of the degree of muscular innervations safety and the level of the recovery of patient's ability to move independently.
